Marine Underwriter (m/f/d) - full or part-time possible

assetsecure specialist insurance GmbH was founded in 2022, in Hamburg, Germany, and is a highly specialised and independent boutique Managing General Agent, that is fully committed to providing niche marine insurance products e.g. Marine Kidnap for Ransom, WAR Risks and very soon, also Hull & Machinery etc.

What are we looking for:

We are looking for a client-focused Underwriter, responsible for underwriting new and renewal business for our different insurance lines, along with the day-to-day account servicing. You will ideally thrive in a high-volume atmosphere, meeting the needs of clients & our capacity providers alike, and also achieving company goals with integrity and respect.

What we expect:

• Have industry related experience, preferably with another MGA or potentially an insurance broker
• Have the ability to independently develop new business and opportinities within the maritime industry
• Familiar with MS Office applications, especially Teams, Excel, Powerpoint and Word
• Strong verbal and written communication skills & very good written and spoken English (German is a plus)
• Be highly organized but also flexible to changes in processes and procedures.
